Q: What is anodizing and why is it so important?

A: Anodizing is an electrochemical process which greatly accelerates the natural oxidation of raw aluminum, but in a uniform manner, to "grow" a protective coating on the surface that is extraordinarily hard, durable, and weather-resistant. The brilliant finish is achieved by pre-treating the aluminum with a "bright dip" application that becomes part of the anodic coating itself, enabling the finish to retain its luster and toughness much longer than any other means of protecting the exterior of an aluminum truck box. Chipping, pitting and discoloration from weather of other corrosives are virtually eliminated, and cleaning becomes as easy as washing the rest of your truck. Q: What is the Positive Closure System ("PCS")?

A: The PCS is a patented, lid-closure system employing a hooking cam which rotates to engage an overhead latch which pulls the lid down onto the tray compartment with increasing force to compress the foam liners of the tray around the contents. The latching system will completely close the lid by simply turning either of the handles located near each end of the box. The PCS has a track record of durability, but its component parts are easily and inexpensively replaced.

A: The Alumiknox™ truck box was designed with you in mind. The initial version of the Alumiknox™ truck box is designed to fit any full-size pick-up truck with a regular and long bed. Cross boxes for smaller sized pickups will be available in 2007.
